Keystones to Opportunity Grant
"Supporting every teacher as a literacy teacher!"
    
     Welcome to the Interboro Keystones to Opportunity (KtO) grant website.  This website is designed to keep administrators, teachers, parents, and community members informed about the KtO grant, including our goals, requirements, and action plan.  KtO grant money was awarded to school district's with an inclusive action plan for supporting literacy instruction and the capacity to implement the plan.       
     Overview information about the grant is located below in the KtO Grant Information folder.  Information regarding specific pieces of the grant implemention are in the subsequent folders. Implementing the grant will be an ongoing process throughout the year so visit the website often for updates.

Announcements
PDE Site Visit #2
Our second site visit with the PA Department of Education was November 14th.  Administrators discussed our progress and continued action plan for implementing our KtO goals.  On a guided tour of Glenolden School, teachers, instructional assistants, the librarian, and students showcased the multitude of literacy programs now available in all of our schools.  A special thank you to the staff and students at Glenolden School for opening their classrooms to us.

 Assessments
The grant requires certain assessments to be administered to document student growth in the area of literacy. This folder holds the assessment schedules, as well as information regarding specific assessment measures.
 Comprehensive Local Literacy Plan
Our CLLP will align strategies and resources toward a common goal of graduating highly literate youth equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive as future workers, family members, and citizens. This is a first year requirement for all KtO grantees. Our district CLLP team will be working on this throughout the year.

Documents explaining the KtO grant requirements and where we are in the process of implementing the grant.
 Newsletters
Newsletters will be periodically published to communicate current information pertaining to our grant implementation.
 Professional Development
Professional development trainings for the targeted KtO teachers. Content module participation is a grant requirment, while other professional learning opportunities support the implementation of new instructional programs.
